Project Description

The National Works Yard is Vancouver’s first facility to achieve LEED Gold Certification built in 2004.

The Office of the Chief Building Official supports the Yard’s design and construction through the assessment and support of various innovative building components and techniques, such as waterless urinals and ground-source heating and cooling.

This project won the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction Award (2004).
